ProCar
seems to have gotten into the international shipping
business... After a long summer of racing, tuning,
and upgrading our equipment, virtually everything
was put up for sale and sent to Athens, Greece and
New Zealand. Patrick's Vette will see duty across
Europe in a Pro Modified class as a second team car,
and new owner Filippous Papafilippou had this to say
about the car after receiving it- like the car. I
like the Vette shape and I like the way you build
your chassis. It looks and certainly must be a very
strong solid car. So the final verdict is that I am
happy with my purchase. Waiting to see it at the strip…..
Randy,
Gary and Jim's Project S-10 also found its way into
a container on its way to New Zealand, where it will
be outfitted with a ProCharger. Originally started
by Ian Rae, Project S-10 highlighted the talents of
several in the business including the late Steve Grebeck.
As Ian's budget increased, he wanted to step up to
a 25.1 truck, so a deal was struck with Gary and Randy
to put Jim Mars' small block in it. As things tend
to do, the plan for a mid eight second toy turned
into a serious race item with the addition of a 101mm
blow thru turbo combination. Unfortunately (or fortunately
indeed-) the truck outpaced its certification on the
third pass and put up for sale to begin work on a
new McAmis bodied 68 Camaro.
Speaking
of new cars, both the Camaro for the three amigos
and the big block Ford Mustang Patrick is dreaming
up will utilize what Patrick believes to be the strongest,
lightest and most adaptable design to date. Time will
tell, but keep your eyes peeled on the gallery.
Nick
Scavo's Corvette will be finished by late winter and
on the track shortly after. Various changes in direction
have delayed the completion of the car, but a patient
and eager Scavo will be able to see his mount on all
four in the not too distant future. It is ready for
all the Fast Times power Jeff D'Agostino can throw
at it, pics in the gallery soon.
Gottier,
Stanley, Mewshaw, Hines and Ricart had a productive
Orlando, more on that when the new article "Racecar
spelled backwards is Racecar" gets up on the
web.
Peace-
Happy Holidays and we'll stay in touch
